There a quite a few well known and oft photographed lone trees in the limestone pavements scattered around West Yorkshire, and Winskill is certainly one of these areas.
I ventured to this location one evening hoping for a lovely sunset and although the weather was bright and fine the clouds obscured any potential golden hour. Nevertheless, there was opportunity to explore the area, capturing different viewpoints featuring a combination of trees amongst the clints and grikes of the limestone.

I had a thought, whilst wandering around, that maybe I needed a person or figure in the shot for a more artistic impression of the locale. But with no-one in the vicinity quite fitting the vision I had to add Chloe in post-processing.
