As the weather was very warm and sunny (for September) I had a wander to Stanage in the Peak District of Derbyshire. This was really just a recce to have a look around, get my bearings and possibly capture some images as the sun retired for the evening. It was certainly warm as we parked up at the small roadside carpark where the rock climbers were gathering for an evening scramble up the rock face of the edge.
After a brief walk up the the edge itself, I set about finding some decent compositions and views. The purpose once there was to find some scenes that I could use for an ongoing ‘Bronte’ style project that was buzzing around in my head. The weathered millstone rocks provided lots of opportunities and I captured some useful stuff as well as, maybe, a few decent landscapes shots too.
