Photographically, I’ve had a pretty good period over the last half-year, winning a few prestigous awards along the way.

Firstly was the ‘Masters of Print‘ which was my second acceptance in this nationwide print exhibition. The shot that did it for me was of a Yellow-Billed Oxpecker on a Buffalo in South Africa. It was an image that I hoped would be succesful when I took as it’s a little bit different.

Secondly, I acheived my MPAGB (Master of the Photographic Alliance of Gt Britain) with a selection of 20 prints. The article for this can be seen here and the individual prints can be seen here. ‘Solitude’, below, was my highest scorer with 29 points.

And finally, my photo club, Chorley PS, won the annual PAGB Digital club competition for the 3rd consecutive year. Again, a write-up for this can be seen here. My 2 images from the final round are below.

I’m really pleased and very proud of these acheivements as they don’t come around that often. I noe need a new challenge or two to get me back in the game. The medals are sitting next to my PC for now acting as inspiration.
