Leyland Photographic Society hold an annual print exhibition which is open to eight central Lancashire clubs only. This is great little exhibition which I look out for each year and often I receive Commended or Highly Commended awards which are always very welcome. The exhibition of prints and the award ceremony are held in a historic old Grammar school in Leyland which is a great setting for a photographic exhibition.
This year though is a personal highlight as I have managed to secure 1st place in the exhibition with ‘Whispering Waifs‘, an image featuring two of the younger members of the ‘Ragged Victorians’ – Poppy and Harriet. This is already a successful image for me and this prize adds nicely to its success rate. Additionally I also received a ‘Highly Commended’ award for ‘Alone‘, featuring Carla Monaco.
