As I was in the Swaledale area of North Yorkshire I decided to call in at Cauldron Force in the small village of West Burton to photograph the local Dippers. I have been here before and it has been a lovely, quiet spot to see the Dippers and Grey Wagtails go about their daily routines, today was different though as scores of day trippers were in the area too. Unfortunately the behaviour of some of the other visitors made it impossible to photograph the Dippers as they were pushed away by stone throwers, people jumping in the pools and dogs charging about.
There’s always an opportunity though and this time it was the falls. Below is a slowish, long exposure (1 second) of the falls giving a flowing feel to the water as it cascades into the pool below.
