In Search of the GCG

A visit today to Mere Sands Wood near Rufford developed into a fine day with Spring sunshine and minimal rain. The meres were populated by water birds pairing up and confirming bonds prior to the mating and subsequent rearing of their offspring. Many species were noted both on the water and on the banks.
