Famous war photographer Robert Capa is believed to have stated that “If your photographs aren’t good enough then you’re not close enough“. Now, it was harder for Capa (real name Andre Friedman) as he worked in dangerous and unpredictable environments than it is for those of us who are clicking away in our cosy little worlds back home but the premise remains the same. With this in mind when I was recently photographing the Ragged Victorians I decided to take up the challenge and shoot in a way that is not my normal style. The images below, which were shot on a 24-105mm lens from fairly close up as the title suggests!, hopefully they show a decent return on the time spent.
