It was a frosty early start to the day as I went in search of the male Kestrel known to patrol the Brockholes Nature Reserve in Lancashire. He is well known is these parts and has been given the name of ‘Kevin’, however, he has eluded me on my visits previously. Today, he put on some lovely poses in the soft warm sunshine of a winter’s day. He seemed to flit between three trees so I stopped and watched and because he is somewhat habituated I could take my time to select the best viewpoints and light to capture him in.
