A recent shoot was of bodybuilder Paul Coote at Body Temple gym in Rossendale. The brief was to capture some shots of Paul using the equipment, some staged images and also a range of shots showing the sponsor’s attire. The gym, as usual, was quite dark and had wall to wall mirrors which didn’t help, but with one Speedlight I managed to capture detail and separate the subject from the cluttered background. Further work in Photoshop was needed to take down any unnecessary background elements and the highlights reflecting off all the metalwork and mirrors.
