100,000 Flickr Hits

Today saw a landmark on my Flickr account with the total number of hits reaching the 100,000 mark. Average daily hits now seems to be in the region of 250-350 where just a year ago it was around 20-30 daily. The strange anomaly is that I have not posted anything new to the site for…

Flickr Friendships

I have corresponded with Piet Grobler for many years now on the Flickr website, both of us commenting on one another’s photos. As Piet lives close to Kruger park we arranged to meet and shared stories and experiences over coffee at Letaba. Piet is a real gent and I am really pleased that we managed…

35,000 and Counting !

Well, I’ve just passed 35000 views of my photostream photos and sets on Flickr. Whilst it might not sound too impressive, that’s 35000 more than if I had not posted them & we take ’em to share ’em don’t we?

Planning 2011

Under The Knife !

It’s been a tough 2 months with this dodgy old knee od mine, but after much research & pushing I have ‘gone private’ and paid for the op. It’s been very much last minute but gives me a small chance of still seeing Africa over Christmas. Next two weeks are critical to get the swelling…

Frustration!

Should have been at Donna Nook photographing the Grey seals today as they pup on the beach & what a perfect day for it, blue skies, sunshine. I’ve wanted to do this for years & this time got everything booked only to suffer a serious knee injury (cruciate ligament, cartilage…) that has prevented me going 😦 😦…

The week that wasn’t !

It’s been a great week of photo opportunities; the stags rutting, the autumn colours & a flock of waxwings descending on trees close to home. Should have had some great photos but no, the dodgy knee has kept me firmly indoors this week & struggling for inspiration. I need to find some still-life opportunities somewhere.
